Ready to jump into coding but not sure where to start? Join us as we examine a variety of tools to introduce students to programming and coding through a hands-on challenges. Some tools will include Code.org resources, Beebots, Lego Mindstorms, and drones/Spheros. Participants will explore each of these tools and develop lesson ideas for use in their classroom.

Joe Wood is the Instructional Technology & Assessment Director for Natomas Charter School and Lead for CUE Rockstar Lake Tahoe and Maui. His career began as a middle school science teacher, but he has also held positions as a technology and literacy coach. Joe's interests are digital writing, Minecraft, and pretty much anything Googley.
